Nutrishare is a Home infusion pharmacy that specializes exclusively in caring for long-term Home TPN consumers. • Nutrishare was one of the first Home infusion organizations to evaluate the chlorhexidine/alcohol (Chloraprep) catheter-site antiseptic as a replacement to povidone-iodine and together with the manufacturer, conducted one of the first ‘patient satisfaction studies’ using this product.
  

• Nutrishare founder’s Rod Okamoto and Tom Diamantidis invented and patented a dual-chambered TPN bag that enables consumers to mix their TPN with fat emulsion just prior to infusing.

• Nutrishare has collaborated with manufacturers to identify ways to reduce the potential of blood backing up into the catheter by supporting and selecting catheter connection devices that minimize this risk.

• Nutrishare is working with Sigma International to develop a home TPN infusion pump ‘designed by TPN consumers, for TPN consumers’.

• Nutrishare has also contributed to the research and development of a new chemical which could significantly reduce the risk of catheter infections

• The Accreditation Commission for Homecare (ACHC) has recognized Nutrishare as the only Homecare pharmacy in the country, certified as 'specialists in Home TPN care'.

• SHARING newsletter for TPN consumers

• Annual TPN Consumer education conference

• Clinical Monographs are available on our website to our TPN family members.

• Nutrishare family members are encouraged to communicate with others by attending the Annual TPN education conference.

• The Nutrishare consumer Yearbook is filled with consumers who invite others to contact them to discuss TPN and Home Infusion related issues that they have in common.

• A secure message board is available to Nutrishare’s consumers making a forum available to discuss all things TPN.

• TPN consumers are encouraged to join and attend the Oley Foundation meetings held in a variety of locations throughout the country.

• Nutrishare feels that the Home TPN consumer and caregivers should be able to have the freedom to select the supplies and equipment they are most comfortable with and not the products chosen for them by their provider.

• Nutrishare seeks to ‘customize’ the TPN consumer’s service including delivery date and frequency.

• Nutrishare staff is dedicated to our family of TPN consumers and their families and enjoy meeting new consumers and developing positive, caring relationships with the existing family members.
