Consultative nursing services are available by phone or home visit by a certified nutrition support registered nurse. Services include review of home TPN routine, supplies, and catheter issues. An individualized plan of care focuses on improving catheter life and reducing complications such as catheter related bloodstream infections and catheter dysfunction. Membership and attendance at national conferences for nutrition support and infusion specialties allows nursing to keep our home TPN consumers up to date on beneficial new technology and products. In addition, Nutrishare nursing is actively involved in research and educational activities on a local and national level to keep abreast of current trends in nutritional support.
